Ancient forts need to be preserved in ways which enhance and carry their majestic history. For the classic seating sections, we introduced cove lights and ambient lights on the ceiling in order to create a more intimate atmosphere. We felt that brightly lit open zones needed to be contrasted with softer virtual encounters. Conversely, for the flora outside, we used highlighters, while the fort’s perimeter featured extensive facade lighting that highlighted the individuality of the building with spatial dynamism of contrasting light and shade, foreshadowing an artistic combination.
